Somerton Park Day and Night Medical Centre is a Mixed Billing Practice.
Your Medicare rebate can be paid back to your registered account immediately using our TYRO system.
We run a cashless system and the surgery accepts Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS.

Please note: that children under 5 are bulk billed (except for weekends).
There is no bulk billing available for appointments with Dr Kosala Abeysundera .
No phone consults available on weekends.
*The full consultation fee will vary depending on the length of time you spend with the practitioner.
If you have a medical complicated history or would like more than one simple issue dealt with at your appointment, we recommend that you book a longer appointment.
Non-Medicare Card Holders (Private Patients)
Non-Medicare card holders will be charged the standard Medicare rate plus an additional $45 for all consults.
Cancellations
From time to time, circumstances arise whereby you are not able to keep an appointment.
Should this happen, we ask that you cancel your appointment by calling our receptionists at least 4 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time. This allows other patients the opportunity to make an appointment.
Failure to do so will result in a non-attendance fee of $50.00
Procedures
Procedures such as skin excisions, Iron Infusion/Implanon insertion/removal may incur an additional out of pocket fee. Please be advised that these appointments require varying amounts of time and depending on the nature and complexity of the procedure cannot be booked online.

Additional Fees
Due to the nature of Skin Cancer Checks, and Iron Infusions, these services have a higher fee than standard consults; however, a portion of the fee is able to be claimed from Medicare and does attract a Medicare rebate.
Fees can also apply for some consumables such as wound dressings to cover costs. Certain consults such as: pre-employment medicals; Work Cover Claims; Motor Vehicle Accident Claims; Third-Party Claims are not able to be claimed from Medicare and do not attract a Medicare rebate.
